Inspired by the landscape and folklore of Bodmin, this beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to silver jewellery making using silver clay. You’ll create your own Beast of Bodmin talisman pendant, shaping soft clay by hand before firing it into solid fine silver.

About the Event


Create a fine silver creature shaped by the wild heart of Bodmin Moor.


Long before jewellery was made for adornment, it was made for meaning. Across ancient landscapes, people carried small objects of metal, bone, and stone to protect, empower, and remind them of who they were. Cornwall’s moorland is steeped in mystery and magic - a place where myths linger like mist over the tors.


This workshop invites you to step into that tradition and discover your creativity. You will craft a talisman or pendant inspired by the Beast of Bodmin - the elusive shadow said to move between the granite outcrops and wind-bent gorse. A creature symbolising mystery, instinct, and the wilderness of the moor.


Using silver clay, you’ll shape and sculpt your own beast. Silver clay begins soft and earthy in your hands, allowing every texture and mark to be formed with intention. When fired, it transforms…
