HALLMARKING

The Independent Assay Office hallmark is  a mark of quality, proving metal content. Hallmarking is a legal requirement for all items containing 7.78g or more of silver or 1g or more of gold.

Please note that most of the products are under the exemption weight of hallmarking. However, for bespoke orders or larger pieces over the 7.75g weight, these will be hallmarked.

My sterling silver pieces are stamped with the 925 fineness mark to show they are sterling silver. The maker's mark (RO) is registered at the London Assay Office at Goldsmiths' Hall in London, the first recorded place in the world to carry out assaying (testing) and hallmarking of precious metals over 700 years ago.
