WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please note, by booking a course, workshop or class with us you are agreeing to be bound by our terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes are effective immediately upon being posted on our website. It is your responsibility to check the latest version of our terms before booking. Your continued use of our website and online booking system will signify your acceptance of the updated terms.

Booking & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • All bookings are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £2.88 to cover card processing charges. This will be retained in all cases, including refunds or transfers.

  • Places on workshops and courses are limited and secured only once payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the small class sizes and limited availability of places, cancellations are subject to the following terms:

  • More than 1 month’s notice: A refund (minus the £2.88 booking fee and a £10 admin fee) will be given, or you may request to transfer to another available date.

  • Between 2 weeks and 1 month’s notice: You may transfer to another date subject to availability, but no refund will be given.

  • Less than 2 weeks’ notice: No refunds or transfers will be offered.

Exceptions apply only in the following cases:

  • If Rebecca Oxenham Jewellery changes the class dates and you cannot attend.

  • If government restrictions (such as travel bans or lockdowns) prevent attendance.

Proof may be required. In these cases, an admin fee of £50 will be deducted from the refund amount.

If you are booked onto a class and fail to attend without notice, no refund or transfer will be given.

Please phone or email us as soon as possible if you cannot attend or are running late.

Health & Safety

For your safety and the safety of others:

  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or otherwise deemed unfit to work safely will be excluded without refund.

  • Classes involve hot work (torches), chemicals, acids, spinning equipment and heavy tools. Appropriate clothing must be worn: closed shoes only (no sandals/flip flops), no loose or flammable clothing, dangling sleeves, or scarves.

  • Protective goggles and/or masks must be worn where required.

  • Students not dressed appropriately will not be allowed to take part in certain activities. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

  • A complimentary glass of prosecco (or soft drink alternative) is offered on some workshops but only after the workshop has finished, once all tools, chemicals, and hot equipment have been put away. Alcohol must not be consumed during the class itself for safety reasons.

  • By accepting prosecco, participants confirm that they are over 18 years old. Proof of age may be requested.

  • Rebecca Oxenham Jewellery accepts no liability for any incidents, accidents, or consequences that may occur after alcohol has been consumed at the end of the workshop, including during onward travel. Guests are responsible for making safe arrangements to return home.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out travel or cancellation insurance to cover your costs should you need to cancel.

If We Cancel a Class

In rare circumstances, we may have to cancel a course. If this happens, you will be offered an alternative date or a refund. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel or accommodation.

Coupons & Vouchers

  • Coupons are valid only for the specified classes, courses, or products, and only until their expiry date.

  • Full payment is required at the point of booking.

  • Once booked, discounted classes are subject to the same cancellation terms as standard bookings.

  • If we cancel a discounted class, a refund will be given for the amount actually paid (not the full value of the class).
