Our Story & Commitment to Sustainability
At Rebecca Oxenham Jewellery, every piece is created using a blend of contemporary and traditional silversmithing techniques. We design jewellery to last a lifetime, using only recycled silver and ethically sourced gemstones.
This approach stands in contrast to much of today’s mass-produced jewellery, which often relies on cheap labour and harmful mining practices. Such methods can damage the environment — stripping away surface soil and introducing toxic chemicals — causing long-term harm to biodiversity. Too often, jewellery made from non-precious metals is poorly crafted, worn just a few times, and discarded, contributing to waste and environmental strain.

Nature-Inspired Craftsmanship
From my studio in the village of Tywardreath in Cornwall, I design and handcraft pieces inspired by the natural world. My work is driven by a deep respect for nature and a commitment to protecting it.
I use recycled silver (eco-silver) and ethically sourced gemstones to minimise environmental impact. Sustainability extends beyond the jewellery itself — every element of my presentation and packaging reflects this ethos:
-
FSC® certified presentation boxes
-
Glue, paper, and cardboard that are 100% eco-friendly
-
Tissue paper and postal boxes made from recycled materials
-
Eco-friendly gift wrapping paper
Giving Back to Nature
Rebecca Oxenham Jewellery is proud to partner with One Tree Planted, a global reforestation charity. For every piece of jewellery or silver kit sold, we plant a tree.
Every tree planted creates a positive impact for nature, wildlife, and people:
-
Cleans air and water
-
Provides habitat for biodiversity
-
Supports health and well-being
-
Creates jobs and benefits communities
