About the Event
Spend a creative day mastering the art of fine silver jewellery making using the magic of silver clay, an eco-friendly and enjoyable way to craft your own jewellery. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll set sea glass stones (either your own collection or a selection provided in the studio) into silver clay and use micro moulds of shells to create a truly unique rockpool pendant. You can leave your silver plain, add texture, or embellish it with tiny silver clay pebbles and shells capturing the intricate beauty of a Cornish rockpool in your own design.
Sea glass, sometimes called mermaid tears or sea jewels, consists of pieces of glass smoothed and frosted by at least 25 years in the sea. Over time, these fragments transform into stunning, softly coloured nuggets that are perfect for jewellery making. You are welcome to bring your own sea glass or flat-backed stones of sentimental value perhaps collected on …
