Silver clay can be rolled, shaped, textured and refined while soft. During firing, its organic binder burns away to leave behind a solid piece of fine silver.
Thoughtfully designed by artist-jeweller and experienced silver clay tutor Rebecca Oxenham, the Deluxe Kit builds on the Torch-Firing Starter Kit with additional silver clay, sparkling CZ gemstones and specialist tools selected for ring making and more advanced silver clay techniques.
Rebecca’s beautifully illustrated guides lead you through each stage with clear instructions, detailed colour photographs and practical tips developed through years of teaching complete beginners.

CREATE A LEAF-TEXTURED SILVER RING

Follow the beautifully illustrated instructions to:

Form and size your silver clay using the wooden ring mandrel and UK ring sizer
Press and shape a long, even strip of clay

The result is a solid fine silver ring created entirely by you.
The included 7g pack of Art Clay Silver is intended to help you complete the Leaf Wrap Ring project. The amount required will depend on your chosen ring size, thickness and design.
SPECIALIST RING-MAKING TOOL SET INCLUDED
The Deluxe Kit includes specialist tools selected to make forming and refining a silver clay ring easier and more precise:
Wooden ring mandrel for forming and shaping your ring
UK ring sizer for measuring your required ring size accurately
Clay pressing tool for pressing long coils of clay evenly flat
Tissue blade for creating long, straight and precise cuts
These specialist ring-making tools are planned to be available separately as an add-on set for approximately £30, making their inclusion in the Deluxe Kit easier to value.
FIVE FIREABLE CZ GEMSTONES
A pack of five mixed CZ gemstones is included to add colour and sparkle to your jewellery.
The Leaf Wrap Ring guide shows you how to incorporate a suitable CZ gemstone into your silver clay design before firing.
The included Silver Clay Jump Rings Made Easy guide also explains how to use the micro cutters to create small flush settings for suitable fireable CZ stones.

QUALITY TORCH-FIRING EQUIPMENT
The kit includes a Soldartech Jeweller’s Butane Gas Micro Soldering Torch: a compact, refillable and anti-flare torch with instant electronic ignition and an adjustable focused flame.
With a maximum temperature of 1300°C, it provides an effective way to fire suitable small silver clay pieces at home without investing in a kiln.
A fibre firing brick and stainless-steel firing tweezers are also included, giving you the specialist equipment needed to create a suitable firing area and handle your fired jewellery.
MAKE AND FIT YOUR OWN JUMP RINGS
Your kit includes Rebecca’s Silver Clay Jump Ring Micro Cutter Set, containing eight colour-coded precision circle cutters.
Use selected cutters together to create your own silver clay jump rings or make accurately sized openings for attaching ready-made jump rings after the clay has shrunk during firing.
The included Silver Clay Jump Rings Made Easy guide also teaches you how to create:

CAPTURE BEAUTIFULLY FINE DETAILS
The premium silicone moulding compound captures exceptionally fine textures from leaves, flowers, bark, acorns and other small objects.
Simply mix equal quantities of the two putties until the colour is even. The compound cures in approximately 20 minutes and remains flexible, helping your silver clay release easily from the finished mould.
Enough compound is supplied to create one or two small moulds, depending on their size. Once made, your moulds can be used again and again.
