How the firing kit works
 
The coarse stainless steel mesh sits over your gas burner, creating a strong, stable firing platform while allowing heat to circulate around your silver clay.
 
The finer mesh is folded into a protective cage and placed over your piece during firing. This helps to keep lightweight pieces safely contained. It is especially useful if a piece is not completely dry, as escaping steam can sometimes cause silver clay to pop or jump.
Both meshes are made from heat-resistant 310 stainless steel, chosen for its suitability for repeated use at high temperatures. Although they are made from the same durable material, their different mesh sizes allow each piece to perform a specific role.

Size
The firing mesh measures approximately 15 × 15cm, making it suitable for most small silver clay projects.
